A Change For the Better!
Growing high quality fruit for the demanding quality specifications of the frozen retail trade has always been our trademark. We were substantial producers for Carriage House Fruit for many years. In 1998, an industry change occurred that enabled us to be in control of our blueberries from the field to the freezer. Seizing this opportunity, we joined forces with Breyman Farms Inc., a large Willamette Valley blueberry farm, and together formed Calyx Fruit, LLC, becoming one of the largest, and unquestionably the finest, blueberry processor in the Northwest. From the Portland airport, take I-205 south to I-5 south. Take the 253 exit off I-5 into Salem. Upon exiting I-5 at the 253 exit, bear right onto Mission Street (Hwy. 22) for approximately 1 mile, turn left on 25th Street, which is the third stop light from I-5. At the second stop light on 25th Street, (approx. .8 miles from Mission Street), turn right onto Madrona Street. Our plant entrance is about 100 yards on the right from the 25th Street/Madrona Street intersection. Driving time from the Portland Airport is approximately just over an hour.
